Programma PADI/DAN Basic Research Diver
Here is what you will learn during your PADI/DAN Basic Research Diver course:
- The Mission of the Diver Alert Network (DAN)
- Understand what it is and how to use the Diver Safety Guardian
- The importance of Marine Protected Areas
- Learn how to collect scientific data for research using two of the following protocols: PADI AWARE Dive Against Debris‚ Sea Sentinel or MPA-ENGAGE
- What is Citizen Science and how you can contribute
- List the most common diving accidents and understand their pathophysiology
The PADI DAN Basic Research Diver course is divided into three main parts:
- Knowledge develpment (individual and classroom study)
- Three classroom and confined water workshops
- Two open water dives of scientific data collection using two different Citizen Science protocols
Prerequisits PADI/DAN Basic Research Diver
- PADI Open Water Diver;
- Minimum age of 12 years.
Credit/Certificatione PADI/DAN Basic Research Diver
By completing your diving course‚ you will receive your PADI Dan Basic Research Diver certification‚ which will allow you to independently continue investigating Citizen Science in Dive Marine Biology and DAN Research.
