PADI Divemaster Program

What you will learn during your PADI Divemaster course:

  • The role and characteristics of a PADI Divemaster
  • Supervision of underwater activities and assistance of underwater students
  • Safety and risk management
  • Programs conducted by a divemaster and specialized skills
  • The diving business and your career
  • Awareness of the underwater environment
  • The realization of an underwater map
  • Conduct a dive briefing
  • Organizing a search and recovery dive and planning a deep dive
  • How to conduct a Scuba Review and Skin Divercourse‚ how to assist in a Discover Scuba Dive and how to guide a Discover Local Dive.

The PADI Divemaster course is divided into five main phases:

  1. Knowledge Development (online with individual study or in the classroom).
  2. Practical sessions in which you will practice your aquatic skills and rescue skills.
  3. Workshop for programs conducted by Divemaster
  4. Practical assessments of supervision and assistance during courses for scuba diving students.
  5. Practical internship where you will actually assist in organizing the diving center‚ customer assistance and assist in guiding dives and courses.

PADI Divemaster Prerequisites

  • Rescue Diver certificate
  • Minimum age of 18 years
  • An Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care (CPR and First Aid)certificate issued within the previous 24 months
  • Medical certificate
  • Minimum of 40 dives recorded at the beginning of the course and a minimum of 60 dives recorded to obtain certification at the end of the course.

Credit/Certification PADI Divemaster

When the course is successfully completed‚ you will need to request your certificate as a PADI Divemaster‚ which will allow you to:

  • guide certified divers during their dives
  • supervise educational activities
  • assist a PADI Instructor during the training sessions of PADI diving courses
  • conduct the PADI Skin Diver course
  • conduct the PADI Discover Snorkeling program
  • conduct the PADI Discover Local Diving program
  • conduct a PADI Scuba ReActivate
  • accompany participants in the dives after they have completed a PADI Discover Scuba Diving.
