The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver atEvasioni Blu Diving Resort in Ustica and Isola delle Femmine (Palermo‚ Sicily)‚ helps you get more out of diving by introducing yourself to new types of diving adventures while improving your diving skills. It’s a great opportunity to work with your PADI Instructor to improve your diving skills and become a safer diver.
PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Program
During the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course you will learn the practical and physiological aspects of deep diving‚ how to navigate using the underwater compass and dive computer‚ finning techniques and the use of visual references. In addition‚ during your PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course you will learn what you prefer to learn by choosing your three adventure dives yourself. For example‚ do you want to improve your buoyancy skills? Try the Peak Perfomance Buoyancy adventure dive.
The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course consists of three main parts:
- Knowledge development of adventure diving to understand the basic principles of this type of diving.
- Deep diving and underwater navigation dives.
- Three dives of your choice in open water.* Choose your three adventure dives from the following:
- AWARE Dive Against Debris;
- Boat Diver;
- Drift Diver;
- Dry Suit Diver;
- Fish Identification;
- Night Diver;
- Peak Performance Buoyancy;
- Search and Recovery;
- Wreck Diver (wreck diving).
PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Equipment
Your PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course includes all the equipment for specialty dives (i.e. compass for navigation‚ lift bag for search and recovery). Other diving equipment can be rented at our Dive Center.
PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Prerequisites
- Be a PADI Open Water Diver or have an equivalent certification issued by another training organization;
- Being at least 15 years old.
Credit/Certification PADI Advanced Open Water Diver
If you successfully complete your PADI Advanced Open Diver course‚ you will receive your PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certificate enabling you to dive to 30m of depth. Each Advanced Open Water Dive can be credited as the first dive of the relative specialty course.
