The PADI Open Water Diver Junior course follows the same program as the PADI Open Water Diver course‚ limiting only the maximum depth to 12m. Our PADI instructors will optimize diving equipment and the part of knowledge development during the PADI Open Water Diver Junior course based on the diver’s age.
PADI Open Water Diver Junior program
During your PADI Open Water Diver Junior course you will learn the use of diving equipment‚ how to plan and perform real dives and how to prevent and manage problems. The PADI Open Water Diver course is divided into three main parts:
- Knowledge Development (online with individual study or in the classroom)‚ to understand the basic principles of diving.
- Five lessons in confined waters‚ where you will learn the basic skills of diving.
- Four lessons in open waters‚ to revise your skills and explore.
PADI Open Water Diver Junior Equipment
Evasioni Blu Diving Resor at Ustica and Isola delle Femmine (Palermo‚ Sicily) will provide for all the equipment you need‚ including a dive computer and standard accessories for your PADI Open Water Diver Junior course.
PADI Open Water Diver Junior Prerequisites
Being at least 10 years old.
Credit/Certification PADI Open Water Diver Junior
If you successfully complete your PADI Open Water Diver Junior Course‚ you will receive your PADI Open Water Diver Junior certificate.
10-11 years: The PADI Open Water Diver Junior certification allows you to dive up to a maximum depth of 12m accompanied by a Pro diver or a certified scuba diver parent.
12-14 years: The PADI Open Water Diver Junior certification allows you to dive up to a maximum depth of 18m accompanied by a certified adult diver.
